When Leonardo Hotels began its expansion across Southern Germany, the brand faced a complex challenge: integrating newly developed properties and acquired hotels under one cohesive identity. With rapid growth came the need for strategic brand visibility, effective employee attraction, and long-term engagement with B2B clients. During this critical phase, Markus Mensch and his team supported multiple Leonardo locations—especially in Munich and Nuremberg—over the course of several years.

Through Strategic Events, PR, and Influencer Campaigns

The goal was clear: establish Leonardo Hotels as a recognizable and desirable brand in the region, attract skilled hospitality professionals from competing hotels, and strengthen loyalty among corporate clients. To achieve this, we implemented a strategic event plan that included VIP gatherings, seasonal highlights such as Oktoberfest-themed celebrations, and innovative recruitment formats—like a branded cocktail competition that generated social media buzz.

A key focus was the development of local partnerships and community relevance. For example, a major collaborative event was hosted with the car brand Citroën. These efforts were supported by a robust PR and influencer strategy, involving regional celebrities, lifestyle bloggers, and press contacts to maximize media coverage. In addition to high-profile grand openings, we established recurring annual events such as hotel anniversaries to embed each location in the minds of target audiences.

The result was sustained media visibility, strategic collaborations across sectors, and a significant increase in local awareness. We helped Leonardo Hotels build strong foundations in influencer and social media marketing, while also reinforcing B2B sales efforts through a more powerful and recognizable brand presence—ultimately positioning the chain as a major player in Southern Germany’s hospitality market.
